My name is Kaede Yoshioka. I'm a second year majoring in Chemical Engineering, and planning to concentrate my studies on Material Science Engineering. I'm especially interested in sustainable energy and electrochemistry. Currently I work at LBNL in Adam Weber's lab, and my project involves looking into behaviors of thin film polymers. I became interested in sustainable energy since the 2011 earthquake/tsunami disaster in Japan, when a nuclear plant went down and the entire area became susceptible to radiation. Since then I wanted to help discover a more environmentally friendly and healthy way to produce, store, and utilize energy.
