Nick is a rising fourth year student in UC Berkeley’s College of Chemistry majoring in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in materials science and technology. He is motivated by the pressing need to transition our energy sources away from fossil fuels, and is specifically interested in materials research aimed at improving energy storage in new battery technologies. In the past, Nick has performed theory-based research on quantum materials through computational methods. This summer, he is excited to conduct experimental research on advanced membranes for energy applications with Dr. Greg Su. He plans to pursue a career in the field of renewable energy in the future, and hopes to contribute to the development of next generation energy technologies. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, biking around the Bay Area, and playing baseball for the Cal Club Baseball team
