Lisette Solis is a graduating senior studying Political Economy. She is interested in issues of environmental sustainability in the developing world. This makes her very excited to be a part of the work around renewable energy that BluEnergy is doing in Nicaragua! Last summer she spent two months in Menomonie, Wisconsin researching algal blooms and policies to control eutrophication. She learned a lot about the challenges and politics of environmental policy making. This summer she hopes to learn more about how development projects can be implemented in a sustainable way.
