Dahlia is a rising junior studying Electrical Engineering & Computer Science with an interest in machine learning and in sustainability. She is excited to merge these two interests this summer at PingThings in applying machine learning and data analysis to the energy grid. This past semester, she has worked with UC Berkeley’s Computational Imaging Lab in developing algorithms for estimating an image’s illumination angle. She is also passionate about education, and has worked as a uGSI for an introductory electrical engineering course at Berkeley. In her free time, Dahlia enjoys hiking, knitting, and cooking new foods.

[Blog #3] Exploring Data Quality

These past few weeks have been arguably my favorite so far because as I have progressed further into the projects I've been working on, I've been able to learn a lot about how the platform works, in part by listening in on paper discussions and through formal explanations, but even moreso by work

[Blog #1] Getting into the Ping of Things

I began my internship at PingThings two weeks ago. PingThings provides a platform for energy companies to process their large amounts of sensor data efficiently through their uniquely structured database, which uses a tree structure to make it very fast to calculate the aggregate metrics (e.g.
